After our tour around Bukchon, we walked to Samcheongdong for coffee and food and to rest our tired feet.
Samcheongdong is a hilly area at the northern part of Jongno-gu and east of Gyeongbukgung. There is a park in the neighbourhood, Samcheong Park, famous for its thick forest and scenic views. We walked past the entrance of the Samcheong Park but did not enter as we were too tired after a whole day of walking.
Samcheongdong is a peaceful and quaint neighbourhood. The street is lined with cafes, museums, antique shops and small art galleries. Each building has its own unique architectural design. A place to spend the afternoon, relax and watch the day goes by.
For dinner, I would recommend you to check out this restaurant at Samcheongdong that my Korean colleagues brought me for dinner. The restaurant serves traditional Korean cuisine in a hanok. The food serve is elaborate. I recommended my sister and family there for dinner and they love it. Following is the name and address in Korean that you may easily show the taxi driver to bring you there or to ask for direction from the locals:
