My Story

At Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Hi, my name is Audrey. I live in the world’s only island city-state, Singapore.

I hold a Bachelor of Business Degree. Instead of venturing into the banking and finance industry, I started my career in a sales role in the technology industry. There is no turning back. Why? Because meeting people and solving their problems through technology is my passion.

I started working in a regional market and business development role in the technology industry nine years ago. I spent 70% of my time travelling to different cities and countries in South East Asia, Korea, China, India, Australia and New Zealand for client meetings and internal planning meetings. Besides travelling to countries in Asia-Pacific, I flew to US and Spain regularly for conferences.

In those nine years, I got to travel to many cities and countries. I usually extend a couple of days to explore the cities and get to know the locals when my schedule allowed, especially at cities I visited for the first time.

At times, I was practically living out of my suitcase. Once I got home, I will unpack and do my laundry and packed again for my trip on the next day.

As I start a new chapter in life, I am spending more time back home, exploring the parks, nature reserve and places of interest. I have also embarked on a journey to simplify my home, life and travel.

My goal through this blog is to explore how it is possible to make our choice to live a life of simplicity, reduce our possessions, be responsible to the environment and increase self-sufficiency. And to see how we can create a positive impact and experience in our lives and the lives of the people around us.

Recognising that experience is more important than possessions, on this blog, I am also sharing my experiences on exploring Singapore and other countries through my stories, photos and videos.

Welcome to join my blogging journey and would love to hear any feedback, comments or suggestions from you. Support me by following my blog, my Facebook page and Instagram.
