In The Mood for Travel

Are you in the mood for travel? I have been travelling back to back for three weeks since my trip to Macau, Hong Kong, followed by Phuket and Bangkok. If you are following my Instagram, you would have noticed my travels. I had difficulty remembering my hotel room number when the hotel staff asked for my room number at the buffet breakfast area in the hotel at Bangkok.

Yes, business travels have started and glad that the next planned business trip is not anytime soon. For that reason, I am behind on my postings besides those posts that I scheduled before my travels started.

Last month, Chistiana of Creative View Blog tagged me for the Travel Tag and finally, I found time to respond. Do check out Chistiana’s blog here for beautiful photos captured by Chistiana with a creative view.

Moving on to the interesting part, answering the questions that you may get to know me better and for me to reminiscence the enjoyable time I had.

1. WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE YOU HAVE VISITED?

Hmm..it is difficult just to name one favourite place. I have two places that I visited and like, they are Kyoto and Barcelona. I like the two cities as both have a good blend of modern and traditional feel and I love the architectures.

2. IF YOU COULD VISIT ANYWHERE TOMORROW, WHERE WOULD YOU PICK?

I would pick Mongolia as I would like to stay in the ger in the open grassland, experience the life of a nomad.

3. WOULD YOU RATHER GO ON A CITY HOLIDAY OR A BEACH HOLIDAY?

I would prefer a city holiday to look at the architectures in different city and to experience their culture and enjoy their food.

4. WHAT ARE 3 OF YOUR HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS?

If I have to pick my holiday essentials then that would be a camera, iPad and emergency medication.

5. ARE YOU AN OVER-PACKER OR AN UNDER-PACKER?

I used to be an over-packer but after being a frequent traveller for the past nine to ten years, I have learnt to pack just enough.

6. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT GOING ON HOLIDAYS?

Taking beautiful photos of the places I visit, try local cuisines and of course, get away from work.

7. WHAT IS ONE PLACE YOU WOULD NEVER WANT TO VISIT?

I could not exactly name a place that I would never want to visit. But I definitely would not want to visit places that are at war, places that are not safe.

8. WHO WOULD YOU RATHER GO ON A HOLIDAY WITH, FAMILY OR FRIENDS?

I enjoy both even though most of the time I go on holiday with friends.

9. WHAT IS THE MOST ADVENTUROUS DISH YOU HAVE TRIED FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY?

That has to be balut. I tried that at my first visit to Manila when I was in school. Balut is a developing bird embryo, either duck or chicken, that is boiled and eaten from the shell. The verdict is I do not like it. Sorry, fellow bloggers and readers from the Philippines.

10. WHO DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS TRAVEL TAG?

    1. You bet! I didn’t bring it during one of my trips to London and I suffered from food poisoning on the evening before I flew back to Singapore. Glad my friend brought with her else I may have problem getting on board the flight.
